Romans 7:7 – 8:4 Our New Walk

Our walk in Christ is like a closed book on the old life and a series of new books for our new life in Christ!

New “Stepping Up” Men’s Study on Saturday Mornings for 10 weeks!

We are offering something new for all the men of the church beginning this Saturday morning at 7:30.

You can find a description by clicking here!

We will meet each Saturday until mid-December and we will be going through the “Stepping Up” material, a biblical study of how to be courageous men of faith.

You do not have to be at every one of these, come to the ones you are able to get to.
This includes a half hour video of tremendous biblical teaching and inspirational sharing, and then a discussion about the subject of the videos, all about stepping up in our lives in every way as men of God.  This is expanded from the men’s Stepping Up simulcast we had recently and published by the same team.
You will not be required to buy the workbook but there will be one available if you want one.
This material is designed to work best in a small group, so if there are more than 8 or 9 men, we may divide for the discussion time.  Pastor Don and Peter Eldridge will lead this together and they will divide off if we have more than 8 or 9 men.
With prayer,  Pastor Mark

Do you have a heart for God? Why? How?

The Gospel Presentation at National Back to Church Sunday!

Back in Romans with Pastor Don!

The book of Romans gives us the Gospel from lots of different directions and approaches.  Listening to this message from Romans 5:12-21 helps us appreciate again all that God has done for us through Christ our Savior!

Title: One Right Act

We rejoiced today in the dedication of a family to God!

We praise God for His goodness to us!

1 John 3:1-3
See what kind of love the Father has given to us,
that we should be called children of God;
and so we are.
The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Beloved, we are God’s children now,
and what we will be has not yet appeared;
but we know that when he appears we shall be like him,
because we shall see him as he is.
And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

Dan Julian opened the Word to us this morning!

Dare We Enjoy Life    Click this “Dare We Enjoy Life” link above his picture for the powerpoint from Dan’s message.

We are sorry that we had a glitch in getting it recorded!  This time you had to be here to listen to it!

The Message title was “Dare we Enjoy Life?”   He answered the question early in the message from Ecclesiastes 1:12 – 2:26 with a vibrant, “Yes!”

Dan and his wife Anna are raising support for church planting in Spain.  They currently have 50% of their support and are looking for others who will partner with them in ministry financially and prayerfully!   They will be with us for a few more weeks and we encourage all the church family to get to know them as you are able.   They are a blessing!

Anna will be speaking at a Women’s Brunch here at GBC on September 22 at 9:00 a.m.  So we encourage the Ladies to participate in this time of fellowship and Bible teaching on the announced theme of “Learning to trust” .

Blessing to you this week as you seek the Lord,  Pastor Mark

Harmony in the Local Church

Romans 12:16
Live in harmony with one another.
Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.
Never be wise in your own sight.

In Matthew 18:15-20  Jesus teaches us how to maintain harmony in the local congregation.  Will we heed his teaching?
