Sunday’s Message: September 25, 2011

Pastor Don continued his series within a series.  We are now on part 3 of the closing messages from Hebrews which Pastor Don has called, “Get a Grip”

Today’s message explains that we endure by our actions which are produced by faith!   This was an encouraging message for my drooping arms!  You will have to listen to see  to what I am referring,  or read the passage.

Title:  Get a Grip – Part 3
Text: Hebrews 12:12-24

Have a great week seeking the Lord!

Worship in Song, Preaching, Fellowship, and Testimony!

Sunday September 18th, 2011

We thank the Lord for a blessed time of fellowship on this “National Back to Church Sunday”!   Pastor Don brought a challenging and encouraging message and our fellowship meal was followed by some good testimonies from those whom we don’t hear from so often.  God has really blessed our congregation with people who want to use their gifts to glorify the Lord and serve others.

Title: Puzzled  (If you missed this message, please take the time to listen!  It is very encouraging.   If you found the message  helpful, please pass the link on to others so they will be blessed as well.)

I.  God is not puzzled about His plans for His people:  Jeremiah 29:11

II. God wants His people to know something about His plans , but not everything:  Deuteronomy 29:29

III.  God is always working out His plans for the good of His people:  Romans 8:28

There will be pictures to follow when I have a better internet connection.

Have a great week,  Pastor Mark

Sunday – September 11, 2011

Today we gave the right hand of fellowship to 2 new members.  What a blessing to see our congregation grow as God  gives us another couple that want to use their God-given gifts to serve with us.

Pastor Don Continued his closing messages in the book of Hebrews:

Title:  Get a Grip, part 2
Text: Hebrews 12:3-11

At the end of the message he shares the Gospel as presented by the writer to the Hebrews.   It was a blessing!

Have a great week and don’t hesitate to call Pastor Don with any of your prayer needs.  He does a great job putting them out by email.   We are also thankful to the whole church body that bands together in prayer.

Men’s Retreat at Dickey Lake Bible Camp

It was hard for Pastor Don and me to leave camp yesterday.  6 men stayed behind to enjoy the rest of camp.  These pictures will give you a feel for the camp and what we experienced: good preaching, music,  food, and fellowship.

God is our Guide!

This week’s “God Is” devotional will challenge you to make a list of times in the past when God guided you “in the way”.    Give it a read to hear one of my testimonies of God’s guidance and provision.

Devotional 30:  God is our Guide!

Have a great week of adventure in learning to know God!

With prayer, Pastor Mark

Sunday – September 4, 2011

Pastor Don began the closing applicational messages of the book of Hebrews from Chapter 12 and 13.   He explained how one of the major themes of the book is endurance!  Then he took us to  Hebrews 10: 36 to show this central message of the book that the last 2 chapters apply so well, ” For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.” In the closing messages, he will be answering the question, “How do we endure and what does this look like?”

In this message from Hebrews 12:1-4 the answer is “by looking to Jesus and His endurance.”  Give this message a listen for a challenge and blessing by clicking on the links below:

Title: Get a Grip

Let’s be praying for Pastor Don and ourselves that our hearts will be prepared to receive the messages God has for us as a congregation in the weeks to come.
